Josie Fong and Cynthia Lau are volunteer Tai Chi instructors at Danville and San Ramon Senior Centers. Josie graduated from UC Berkeley in 1973 with a BS degree in Accounting/Finance and retired in October 2010 from City of Pleasanton. Cynthia graduated from UCLA in 1979 with a BS degree in Mathematics-Computer Science. She retired in June 2012 from IBM. Josie started learning Tai Chi at Danville Senior Center twelve years ago. She met Cynthia in the class a year later. In early 2014 when the Tai Chi instructor decided to pursue other interests, Cynthia and Josie took over teaching the class. A year and a half later, they started a second Tai Chi class at San Ramon Senior Center. Over the past few years, the Advanced and Beginner classes were added at Danville Senior Center. They are grateful for all the positive interests/responses from the Tai Chi class participants.
