Review of the FiiO K7 Headphone Amplifier/DAC
Truly balanced headphone amp which uses THX AAA 788+ amp technology, dual AK4493SSEQ DACs and an XMOS XUF208 decoder chip. The balanced analogue and digital sections reduce crosstalk and both high and low impedance headphones can be used. Protection systems include overheating, overload and DC protection and the power design is fed by an external 12V switching supply. Output modes (headphones, speakers, DAC) can be selected with a single switch and and input selection includes USB, optical and coaxial digital plus RCA. There are two gain levels to choose from and RGB indicator lights illustrate the sampling rate being handled.
